Arrive at Marthadale for a warm meet and greet, with a settling morning coffee from 10.15 before we begin promptly at 10.30.
This informal workshop includes a beautifully prepared kit featuring Liberty fabrics to create a floral-inspired piece of art. Participants are welcome to bring along any special fabric pieces they may wish to incorporate.
Colour-themed kits will be arranged for everyone.

Sisters Kate Sloan and Penny Stemp have combined their loves of fabric and embroidery to embark on an adventure of slow stitching.
Together they will share with you their fabric scraps and threads and help you understand the techniques they have developed in creating fabric wall hangings and framed textile pictures and more.

A small group setting that allows for close guidance from your tutors in the cosy Marthadale studio, surrounded by fabrics, books and quiet sewing inspiration
Hands-on demonstrations, thoughtful tips and shared knowledge among fellow makers and creative appreciators
A full day of relaxed making, with time to bring your project to completion or very close to it
A Liberty-based fabric kit in your chosen colour palette

Return transfers to and from the Sorrento/Queenscliff ferry can be arranged for foot passengers from the Mornington Peninsula. Please email hello@marthadale.com.au to organise.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase Marthadale produce and a few select retail items and sewing notions should you wish to indulge.

All materials are provided for this workshop, so there is nothing to bring other than a small bag to take your creation home in.
A few optional extras you may like to bring:
Your own notebook for personal notes and reflections
A small, labelled sewing kit such as scissors and pins, if preferred
Any special fabric pieces you may wish to include as a small memory or personal touch

Occasionally, workshops may need to be cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you’ll be offered the option to transfer your booking to a new date (if available) or receive a full refund.
If, for whatever reason you are unable to attend please advise for alternative arrangements. The small class offered on this day is dependent on the confirmed numbers as I am sure you will appreciate. Together, every endeavour will be made to fill your place and have refund offered.
