Discover the art of Japanese stitching as you are guided through the materials, equipment and stitch techniques used in the making of a placemat using basic Boro and Sashiko embroidery stitches. This creation can easily be transferred into a placemat or book cover and should be completed in this day workshop and if not very easily finished at home

Jo will share her highly valued skills and tuition, inspiration and talents in the use of this versatile and beautiful Japanese stitching method that can be so aligned to slow mindful, meditative stitching.

There will also be some tempting notions for home practice available for purchase on the day.
