Guy Mirabella is a highly regarded cook, author and designer of 10 wonderful cook books. In a family of four siblings, Guy is the eldest born into the family of first-generation Sicilian immigrants who settled on the Mornington Peninsula , as too where Guy and his wife Jo have raised three children. Now, with many grand babies and the growth of the Mirabella Family into the third generation, they still call this part of the world, home.
For twenty years Guy ran his café, ShopAte, in Mt Eliza Village which became an institution to the locals and to many travelling far and wide. Guy calls himself Australian with his personal reflection on his heritage embracing Sicily as the essence found in his Italian cooking , creating a Sicilianish celebration of fresh, seasonal produce prepared with care, love and deep respect.
